The federal government says some form of carbon pricing is coming, but Saskatchewan premier Brad Wall says he won't be signing for it. He was saying that it's not the time for a new national tax, including carbon. His comment is about forming working groups to discuss carbon pricing and other environmental measures over the next 6 months. Feb 19, he said any scheme that involves imposing a carbon levy or tax would be ill-timed due to the current state of the industry. He's not approving of the signing of this agreement because it's not the time and Canada has a bad economy right now. The carbon tax is a tax levied on the carbon content of fuels. It's a form of carbon pricing. I personally think it might be okay if it helps the environment but as for someone who drives they probably won't like it because they'll have to pay more for gas. It connects to the force of globalization transportation because this tax may affect how many people drive or go towards city transit depending on where you live. Also people might go towards more fuel efficient cars and trucks that are better for the environment and easier on our walletsplus you'll save on gas a bit. Maybe even to the battery powered cars.
